Who we are |
Transform Together is a multi-stakeholder partnership that drives the delivery of the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) -especially Goal 12 Responsible Consumption and Production. |
We are a network of committed organisations comprising technical, policy, civil society, procurement and industry experts with a shared vision and the mandate of the UN SDGs, and so the backing of national and local governments, civil society and responsible businesses.
Bioregional, an international charity and award winning social enterprise is the convener and the secretariat of Transform Together. Our founding partners are the Dutch Ministry of Infrastructure and Water Management, the Ministry of Environment Finland and the German Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety. We collaborate closely with the UN One Planet Network focused on advancing Sustainable Consumption and Production (SCP) and the implementation of SDG 12. |
What we work on |
We work on sustainable consumption and production (SCP). SCP aims at “doing more and better with less”, so that everyone can live a good quality of life within their fair share of our one planet’s resources.
The concept is, that we already know, in so many ways, how to be sustainable. There are many great examples of best practice around the world. We need to replicate and scale these best practices with urgency in order to achieve the SDGs. We are currently working on consumer goods, with focus on ICT products and smartphones in particular. |
Why we do this |
Our vision is of a world in which individuals, business, and governments work together to consume and produce sustainably. The UN 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of this universal agenda aim to improve the lives of all people around the world. In particular, Goal 12 seeks to ensure sustainable production and consumption patterns.
